Why Social Democracy?

On 4 February 2021, Social Democracy will celebrate the 150th birthday of the great Social Democrat, labour leader and later Reichspräsident of the Weimar Republic, Friedrich Ebert. We are taking this anniversary as an opportunity to tap into your knowledge of the history and basic values of Social Democracy and to introduce you to the life and work of the man who gave the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung its name and whose political legacy it owes its mission.
